We know, we know. You don’t want to upgrade. Implementing Dynamics SL 2011 was no simple task, and you finally have the software working just the way you want it. Why would you change now?
Well, for starters, as of 2017 tax updates are no longer being issued for any version of SL 2011. Considering the crucial role taxes play in finances and accounting, this news is probably reason enough to schedule an upgrade to SL 2015. Plus, if you’re already paying a maintenance fee to Microsoft, you might as well take advantage of the product updates and stay current with the software.
We understand your hesitation though. Upgrading to a new version of software is not always fun. It’s kind of like going to the dentist. You know you need to go, but you’re probably not super excited about it.
Here’s the good news: Dynamics SL 2015 has some great new features that set it apart from its predecessors. In fact, Microsoft has done its best to incorporate changes based on feedback from users like you. That means the upgrade is designed to make the system work better for people who deal with the same headaches you do.
Maybe, just maybe, a few of those headaches will go away with the new capabilities of Dynamics SL 2015. Here are a few features we’re excited to see in the latest version of SL:
- Refreshable static queries
- Email capabilities for reports
- Several Payroll automations
- Invoice preview
- Multi-currency option for project series
- Simplified login for multi-company business
