Microsoft recently announced key changes in Dynamics on-premises licensing and sales of the Dynamics GP product. The announcement states that after April 1, 2026, sales of Dynamics GP will be limited to existing customers. Existing customers can continue to purchase new licenses and modules, but there will be no new customer sales.
Microsoft will continue to make enhancements to Dynamics GP and provide existing customers support through 2028 and beyond. While this brings about many questions for current GP users, rest assured that Boyer & Associates’ commitment is not changing our support of Dynamics GP and its users.

In order to retain access to Microsoft support, it’s important to ensure that your version of Dynamics GP is up to date. Dynamics GP 2018 R2 will bring you to version 18.5, which enacts the Modern Lifecycle Policy. It is under this policy that Dynamics GP 2018 R2 receives support, regulatory (tax) updates, security updates, and hotfixes. This includes any usability and reliability updates needed to address top customer issues that are critical in ensuring businesses run successfully on Dynamics GP.
