Earlier this year Microsoft released their roadmap for Dynamics GP. As you can see from the above image, the roadmap shows Microsoft’s commitment to maintaining and improving Dynamics GP through 2019 and beyond.
But what does “and beyond” look like for GP, especially with cloud-based Dynamics 365 being released?
In 2015 Microsoft announced that there were approximately 47,000 installs for Dynamics GP in the United States. Microsoft has continually stated that with so much interest and demand in GP, they will continue to support and maintain the software.
We here at Boyer strongly echo that sentiment. We are fully committed to our clients to help them continue to grow with Dynamics GP. We have a dedicated staff of consultants, developers and support personnel who are focused on assisting our strong current customer base and implementing Dynamics GP for new clients.
There has been a lot of recent buzz about Microsoft Dynamics 365, the company’s first cloud-based ERP offering. With the release of Dynamics 365 there appear to be a few Value-Added Resellers (VARs) shifting their focus away from GP to other Microsoft ERP products such as Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV and, of course, Dynamics 365.
Our focus at Boyer & Associates remains strong towards Dynamics GP. We recently attended the GPUG Summit in Nashville, and we continue to offer bi-annual learning opportunities at the Microsoft office in Minneapolis for our clients. We also offer Management Reporter classes and keep updating our blog with helpful Dynamics GP tips and resources.
