At the beginning of the summer, Paul James became a part of our Dynamics SL consulting team. Paul joined us after gaining considerable expertise with Dynamics SL by taking on a few very difficult projects at a large and successful marketing agency here in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. A lot of the work related to foreign currencies within the financial modules.
One of the things about Paul’s background that was extremely attractive to us was his warm and helpful personality. Jon Augdahl had worked with Paul prior to asking Paul to join us so having that longer term relationship was helpful in ensuring a reliable and trustworthy hire. Paul has so far taught Management Reporter financial statement creation classes, assisted with financial and project module implementations and support.
Currently Paul’s biggest project is working with the Human Resources program that works well with Dynamics SL. The product was developed in the Dynamics SL toolkit and is by Silverbrook Systems. The project was begun by a Dynamics SL partner in the southeast and is being completed by us. The client wanted a MInnesota-based partner with reliable consultants and support up in this part of the world. This large casino in northern Minnesota is also converting their Abra payroll to the Dynamics SL payroll module for thousands of its employees.
Above is a snapshot of the Dynamics SL HR module-created by SilverBrook Systems in the Dynamics SL Toolkit.
One of the things that I especially appreciate about Paul is his military background. Over the years I’ve found that people we’ve hired with military service in their background have a tendency not to be intimidated by the complexity or the urgency of the work clients ask us to do. In my experience as well, when you ask a person with this type of background to do something-it gets done properly and promptly. Paul has certainly lived up to that expectation.
For those of you that have not yet worked with Paul, we are confident that you will find him to be competent, prompt, and friendly. Training is something that he has excelled at in his first 3 months as well.
Paul has a degree in accounting from St. Thomas, and also attended the University of Alaska while doing work with the Air Force up in Anchorage.
If you are a Dynamics SL client in the Twin Cities area, please consider Paul to assist with any report writing, integration, planning, currency, or training projects you have in mind. Strong Microsoft products and strong consultants make for happy clients. We are trying to keep you in that happy zone by adding people like Paul to our staff.
