In an ERP system, actual numbers are usually preferred. However, there are times when the information is better presented in a graphical format. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 has a number of graphs that are available within the Role Tailored Client, but most users don’t realize they can create additional graphs.In the Search box, located in the upper right corner of the menu screen, enter Generic Charts and then choose the link. One of the more interesting features of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is the ability to rename a record. Within NAV, you can rename a Customer, a Vendor, an Item – almost anything. NAV will go through the entire database and rename the record everywhere it is found.Renaming a Customer or Item will change all open and historical records to reflect the new number for the record. This feature can be valuable in many situations. Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a powerful and easy-to-use Requisition Worksheet that will tell customers what inventory they need to buy based on the parameters set up on the item card.  Many NAV users take advantage of this capability; however, many don’t realize how to use it properly.Too often, I find NAV users who have their inventory setup for Min/Max for all their items.
