Minneapolis-based Microsoft consulting firm Boyer & Associates continues to grow. We are thrilled to welcome Jamie Gipp as a senior CRM and Power Platform consultant.
Gipp originally wanted to be an athletic trainer and earned her bachelor’s degree in health management. Her plans to go to grad school took a detour when a family member became ill. Instead, she took a job in retail management and then in corporate relocation.
“I still love the healthcare world. I love the dynamic of it. I am passionate about sports and health,” she said.
Gipp spent the next 12 years in the banking industry, first in corporate relocation and then in corporate real estate financing. Working with high net-worth clients helped her fine-tune her people skills, learning how to handle different personalities and communicate effectively.
Life took another shift when she decided to spend more time at home with her two young girls. She landed a work-from-home job with a software company, selling and managing Microsoft licenses.
In 2014, Gipp transitioned into consulting, specializing in Microsoft CRM and Power Platform solutions. She has primarily worked with clients in the healthcare industry. She leverages her deep understanding of their unique software needs and industry-specific language.
Gipp thrives on the variety and challenges of consulting. She relishes the opportunity to apply technology in innovative ways across different projects and industries.
“I appreciate the nuances and intricacies of handling diverse tasks. Each project presents unique processes and challenges,” she said. “The variety allows for continuous learning, as I apply my skills in varied ways.”
From DOS to on-premise CRM to cloud-based CRM infused with AI, Gipp has learned how to work with multiple technologies. She enjoys seeing how new software can transform a company’s operations.
“I like seeing the project from the ground up and how it grows and becomes something beneficial to an organization,” she said.
A previous coworker referred her to the job at Boyer. She is excited about the company’s culture of collaboration and growth, citing it as a key factor in her decision to join the team.
“From the people I met with, you just got this sense of togetherness. The culture felt great when I was meeting with people. That was really the big thing that turned me over to Boyer,” she said.
At Boyer, Gipp is a senior consultant for Power Platform and CRM. She’s excited to learn the ins and outs of a different industry, moving from healthcare to more nonprofit projects.
“I’m excited to embark on Fundraising and Engagement … and take my knowledge in a new direction,” she said. “You’re forever changing and forever growing.”
She’s excited to be part of a growing company and looks forward to helping the company expand and mentoring younger consultants.
When she’s not working, Gipp loves to golf, travel and exercise on her Peloton. She also walks at least two miles every day, usually with her 70-pound dog, Vinny (named after Vince Lombardi).
Originally a Wisconsin native, she currently lives in Lakeville, MN with her husband of 30 years, Mitch. They have two grown daughters and travel frequently, including spending two months of every year in Florida.
