Today, I would like to share a resolution to an error message when using Integration Manager to import records into Sales Order Processing. Review of Microsoft Dynamics SL
An organization named TrustRadius asked me to review Microsoft Dynamics SL from a user’s perspective. I don’t know how they knew that we use Dynamics SL, or if they know that we have 200 Dynamics GP clients either. Boyer & Associates has a Dynamics SL practice with roughly the same number of users as GP, as well as a new Dynamics NAV practice that is only 3 months old with 5 clients. My expectation was that the group would not think I am objective enough to review their product being that we resell it. I was delighted to see that they published my review. One of the more interesting features of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is the ability to rename a record. Within NAV, you can rename a Customer, a Vendor, an Item – almost anything. NAV will go through the entire database and rename the record everywhere it is found.Renaming a Customer or Item will change all open and historical records to reflect the new number for the record. This feature can be valuable in many situations. One situation that comes to mind is where clients have used intelligent customer numbers, putting their customers in alphabetic order, only to have a customer change their name.
