The Fundraising and Engagement app is built on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise. In addition to purpose-built features for nonprofit organizations, you also get the full power of the Dynamics 365 stack, including Power Platform components Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI. This translates to nearly unlimited extensibility into other areas of your organization and enterprise-grade technology to automate, analyze, and put mobile apps into the hands of your users.
The fundraising capabilities are prebuilt features to let you gather donations (including taking and processing payment). The donations are tracked against individual constituent records. With donation histories and demographic/interest tracking, you can build out campaign lists to be more targeted in your messaging and get better insights into what works.
Event management and planning is designed to support the numerous activities around planning and executing an event. Keep track of tasks and assignments so that nothing gets forgotten. Track ticket sales, assign guests to specific tables, and log sponsor information all in the same place. This level of visibility lets you correct issues quickly and streamline logistics event day.
Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofits is soon to release a volunteer management portion as well, allowing organizations to keep track of volunteers, their skillsets and availability, and their participation with your organization.
Because these elements are all part of the same data platform, you can see a full picture of any individual’s engagement with you — from giving to volunteering to event attendance — and focus your outreach messages to maximize that engagement.
